New Mag- Gusto 1963

New magazine day! It’s Gusto from 1963, a parliament publication. This magazine is kind weird, theres only one pictorial that has a name attached. Most of the pictures are littered through out article called ‘In Defense of Prostitution’ so unfortunately I can’t identify the models. But they are in fact models, not prostitutes, I guess they had to state that, ha. The magazine has some great vintage black and white smut, even if they’re anonymous. I have yet to read any of the articles, they seem interesting but that ‘Prostitution’ one is really long! Tonight I am featuring the front and back covers (they’re the same pic) and three pages of the same girl from the ‘Prostitution’ article. She has some adorable lingerie; I love her hairdo and eyeliner. It’s going to be interesting figuring out how to blog this one because I usually do the pictorials and this mag is chaos, its ok though, you’re gonna love it. Enjoy!





Topper’s Belle Invades Europe

Blonde beauty Dartland Dameron took a trip to Europe and Topper was there to capture all the fun! From the invention of photography American’s have been interested in Europe’s loose stance on nudity. The first nudie films were ‘art house’ pictures from Europe, they were just a way to see boobies. Most of the pictures are of Dartland on a boat in Italy, but they’re all great artistic shots. Charles Rayburn’s pictures are artistic as well as showing boobies, ha. It really looks like she had a great sixties European vacation.

There are a few more pictorials left in Topper, it’s definitely my goal to finish it up this month so I can start on a new magazine for May. If you want more topless ladies head on over to my Tumblr page, it’s about 90% pictures I have found, not scanned myself, but there’s some great stuff out there. Also I have an Instagram devoted to topless retro ladies, although they don’t allow nudity so I have to censor the pictures, boo! Topper Throws a Year End Bash

This is a staged new year’s party pictorial celebrating 1965. It’s an interesting look into what a new year’s party from the 60’s might be like, although I feel like there’d be less nudity, depending on who’s house you were at. The pictures are a rad time capsule and I like that a few are actually in color. Also, if the ladies are getting naked, why aren’t the men?

I’ll leave you with this excerpt before the pictures…

“Tomorrow begins another fiscal, but the night -and most of the morning- belongs to the hedonists of the world…May your glass be ever filled with the wine of good cheer and may the girls brighten your life- every time. ’65’s the time to be alive!”

Topper 1965 and Laura Eden

New magazine day! Although I’m starting a new mag today, there’s one or two pictorials left for Rapture. I was thinking for variety sake I would introduce something new. I might get back to it, but if I don’t the pictures I haven’t blogged yet are available to view in my Imgur account, along with other pics. I will include the cover/back first then a pictorial, with cropped pics then the layout pictorial.

Bare Skin in Gotham Starring Laura Eden is a short write up about a movie Laura starred in called “Laura Eden’s Magic” and talks about the trend of making ‘nudie’ movies; I couldn’t find any info on the film. It’s kinda weird to me that they state “in spite of the fact that they now no longer generate the heat they once did- at least in print” mostly because ‘nudie’ movies were still kinda new in 1965, perhaps because there wasn’t mainstream penetration at the time? They go on to say “There isn’t much else to say…but that it’s worth looking at. After all, what are girls for?” which I think is the funniest part of the article. The actual write up is pretty short, feel free to read and comment about your take on it. Laura is adorbs, and I’m sure you’ll like her pics as much as I do. Enjoy!

Wow, way too long guys! I actually picked up some new mags this weekend, but I have a few more pictorials to post from Rapture, so I better get going on that! This post is all about Sherri Scott, who is a model from Brooklyn and is described in the first sentence as ‘pert.’ She’s studying ‘dramatics’ and hopes to become an actress, but I guess for now she’s settling for modeling. Apparently she loves football, both New York teams, which is adorbs. I love her pictures, she’s got a great hair flip and is in a sexy hat and super long thigh highs, underpants and gloves. She has a super cute sixties style, I’m loving her makeup. I’d say my fave pic is the green tinted candy one, I know this pictorial is one everyone will like, she’s a great model. Enjoy!

It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad Hat

Happy Happy New Year!

Alright guys lets jump right into Rapture 1963 with ‘It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad Hat’! It’s an odd headline but Jennifer Edlund is adorable in her hat. She’s just lounging around in her tights, topless, no big deal, with a hat on top. The article talks about how she is a skillful hat and dress designer, although that’s not her profession; Jennifer is a PE teacher in Atlanta. Which is kind of interesting to note, because today a lady teacher could get fired for posing topless. I like the pictures, my fave would be the one where her tights are half down her butt and she is looking over her shoulder at the camera, it also has interesting coloring, I think they must have colored the negative to get that effect. I thought it was a cute article, but then I came across this line- “Like most women, she has a problem making up her mind, so she solves it by just taking both hats home” I don’t think its crazy to think you can show topless ladies with out being condescending, geez Rapture. Oh well, I’m still a fan. Enjoy!

New Magazine- Rapture from 1963

New magazine day! I am really excited about this new mag Rapture from 1963. It’s a Parliament Publication- those are my absolute fave! So this post is the cover/back and a few other pics that I can’t find any credits for; it’s kind of a random mix. I am also pretty sure that the cover girl isn’t in the mag, as well as the centerfold. Parliament has such a beautifully innocent trashy aesthetic and its just great. If you look in the archives Pagan from 1965 is also one of their publications. I know you’re gonna love this magazine as much as I do, the ladies are adorbs, along with the styling, art direction, sets, makeup- all of it! Enjoy!
