Last week my laptop crashed and I lost everything, it’s a sad and stressful experience. I feel silly about the sense of loss. The good thing is I have physical copies of my magazines and can scan whatever I might need again, but scanning and editing takes hours, so it’s unfortunate that the work was lost. I am still figuring out what might be still around and what I will need to ready again. So this week I thought I would post illustrations from King’s Man, mostly because I haven’t featured the rad illustrations these magazines offer yet. There’s not too many in the mag but I love the 60’s art. I’d like to feature more of the art from the mags, I hope it’s interesting to you; please comment if you like them and want more. Enjoy!

Blonde for a Bed 1960

This pictorial can be found in King’s Man #9 1960. “Sharon Lee is twenty three and every inch a woman” The article states her measurements, tells readers to take their word for it and explains that they’ll measure her for you, its a strange write up. They go on to describe her as an object and that “the boudoir is the obvious place for her” Already this magazine seems more sexist than any I have read up to now. Usually they’re light hearted jabs about wanting to bang some cutie, but this very short write up rubs me the wrong way. But a literary critic I am not. I am more of a pictures critic and these are very artistic, esp for a girlie mag. Sharon is adorable with her blonde waves and cute pout. This pictorial features my fave pic from this magazine, I will put it first, its almost angelic, she’s simply beautiful, I’m sure you’ll agree. Enjoy!

King’s Man 1960

New magazine day! I just scanned/edited King’s Man #9 from 1960 and the pictures are wonderful 60’s smut. I’m only going to post three pics tonight, as the cover girl/pin up doesn’t have her own write up and I can’t find her name anywhere. I hope I will be able to find her name and update this post in the future. So tonight is just a quickie. I haven’t joined a centerfold in a while, its a new skill for me. I know it’s been so long, but good stuff has been happening in my life job and personal wise so the blog has taken a back seat. Not fair I know, you need the vintage boobies! So this one is a quickie but I promise to have a new spread for the weekend, and I’m gonna put a good amount of pics in this post. Julie Barton just can’t find anything to wear! According to her pictorial write up she works the graveyard shift at a doctor’s telephone service, whatever that means. Apparently she only has Monday evenings free for dates, in case any readers are looking to take her out I suppose. Julie likes to lounge around her apartment in the nude! Wow! But on the rare occasion she is able to go out on the town she enjoys ‘real party dresses’ or formal wear. She is a true Georgia peach, but you couldn’t tell it from the pictures! Enjoy!

More Mermaid Annual

Another pictorial form Mermaid Annual (probably the last one for a bit, I have lots of new magazines) I guess they were trying to get artsy with this fancy yet erotic photo set. The photographer, Russel Lorring, was asked to do an essay on “Love in the Afternoon” and decided to use his wife Gilda as the model. His photos are described as “some of the most beautiful figure studies of the human figure ever printed.” My favorite picture is the one where she is kneeling, its so pretty and sensual, almost like she’s dancing. I guess he was a pretty nice guy, willing to share nude photos of his wife with everyone and all. Enjoy!

Daris Galke from Mermaid Annual

So it took all week to fix my Flickr mess. I was flagged as restricted because I didn’t properly label my pictures and a bunch had close to 4,000 views so it caught their attention. I kept trying to fix my pictures individually but even fully clothed ones were still restricted. So in the end I deleted a bunch and got my account back to a safe standing. I am a bit bummed that I had to delete the most popular ones. Technically Flickr allows such photos, they just have to be marked, and the ones with vaginas showing need to be marked restricted, but doing so does not allow me to grab their link. I will eventually put them back up, but I haven’t decided if I will put them back up on the blog, maybe just a short post that they are available to view if you have a Flickr/Yahoo account. I am gonna stick to cutesy boobs pics and an occasional bush pic on the blog, which are the pics I enjoy the most, I really don’t need to see gaping vaginas, not to put that type of art down.

Also I am happy to report I bought four new magazines over the weekend so look forward to some amazing babes coming up as soon as I can scan them! Some of my fave pics so far too!

Anyway, on with the boobs! This post is about Daris Galke and her pictorial in Mermaid Annual 1960. I couldn’t find any info on her other than that she appeared in a number of men’s magazines in the 60’s. Enjoy!

Mermaid Annual No Names

Today’s post is quick! These ladies are all from Mermaid Annual 1960 but weren’t given photo credit so I don’t know who they are, but their pictures are pretty great. The first picture is the centerfold, I just love the pose. I am having trouble with my Flickr account, they marked everything restricted so I can’t link to it anymore, although the pictures are all still there. It’s lame cuz not everything is explicit, but they have marked even images that are safe. So for now I uploaded them to my wordpress account, hope the images still turn out well. Enjoy!
